What is Lithium battery
2024-10-11
  • Lithium battery is a kind of battery with lithium metal or lithium alloy as positive / negative material and non-aqueous electrolyte solution. Lithium metal battery was first proposed and studied by Gilbert n. Lewis in 1912. In the 1970s, M. S. Whittingham proposed and began to study lithium-ion batteries. Because the chemical properties of lithium metal are very active, the processing, preservation and use of lithium metal have very high requirements for the environment. With the development of science and technology, lithium battery has become the mainstream. Rechargeable Lithium AA Batteries.

  • Lithium batteries can be roughly divided into two categories: lithium metal batteries and lithium-ion batteries. Lithium ion batteries do not contain metallic lithium and can be recharged. Lithium metal battery, the fifth generation of rechargeable battery, was born in 1996. Its safety, specific capacity, self discharge rate and performance price ratio are better than lithium-ion battery. Due to its own high-tech requirements, only a few countries' companies are producing this lithium metal battery.

    Identify the battery

Compare the battery capacity. The general cadmium nickel battery is 500mah or 600mah, and the hydrogen nickel battery is only 800-900mah; The capacity of lithium-ion mobile phone batteries is generally between 1300-1400mah, so the use time of lithium battery after full charge is about 1.5 times that of hydrogen nickel battery and about 3.0 times that of cadmium nickel battery. If you find that the working time of the lithium-ion mobile phone battery pack you purchased is not as long as advertised or specified in the manual, it may be counterfeit.

Look at the plastic surface and plastic material. The anti-wear surface of genuine battery is uniform, made of PC material, without embrittlement; Fake batteries have no anti-wear surface or are too rough. They are made of recycled materials, which are easy to crack.

Measure the charging voltage of the battery block. If cadmium nickel and hydrogen nickel battery blocks are used to fake lithium-ion mobile phone battery blocks, they must be composed of five single batteries. The charging voltage of a single battery generally does not exceed 1.55V, and the total voltage of the battery block does not exceed 7.75v. When the total charging voltage of the battery block is lower than 8.0V, it may be cadmium nickel and hydrogen nickel batteries.

  • For the original battery, its surface color and texture are clear, uniform, clean and free of obvious scratches and damage. The battery mark shall be printed with battery model, type, rated capacity, standard voltage, positive and negative pole mark and manufacturer name. The handle shall be smooth without obstruction, with appropriate tightness, good coordination with the hand and reliable latch. The hardware sheet shall be free of obvious scratch, blackening and greening. If the mobile phone battery we purchased does not conform to the above phenomenon, we can preliminarily conclude that it is a fake.

From their own point of view, many mobile phone manufacturers also strive to improve the process level to improve the difficulty of counterfeiting mobile phones and their accessories, so as to further curb the proliferation of fake parallel goods. Generally, regular mobile phone products and their accessories must be consistent in appearance. Therefore, if we install the mobile phone battery we bought back, we should carefully compare the body with the battery bottom shell. If the color is the same, it is the original battery. Otherwise, if the battery itself is dull, it may be a fake battery.

Observe the abnormal condition of charging. Generally, the genuine mobile phone battery should have an overcurrent protector inside. In case of excessive current caused by external short circuit, the circuit will be automatically cut off to avoid burning or damaging the mobile phone. The lithium-ion battery also has an overcurrent protection circuit. When non-standard electrical appliances are used and the AC current is too large, it will automatically cut off the power supply, resulting in failure to charge. Under normal conditions, the battery can automatically return to the on state. If, in the process of charging, we find that the battery is seriously hot, smoking or even exploding, it means that the battery must be fake.

With the help of special tools. Facing the increasing variety of mobile phone batteries in the market, and the counterfeit technology is becoming more and more sophisticated, some large companies are also constantly improving their anti-counterfeiting technology. With the improvement of anti-counterfeiting technology, it is difficult for us to identify the true and false from the appearance.
