What is a reed switch
Magnetic switch refers to magnetic induction. This' magnet 'is a magnet, and there are several types of magnets. The commonly used magnets in the market include rubber magnets, permanent ferrite magnets, and sintered neodymium iron boron magnets. The switch is a reed switch. Reed switch, abbreviated as reed switch, is a passive electronic switch component with contacts. It has the advantages of simple structure, small size, and easy control. Its outer shell is usually a sealed glass tube, which contains two iron elastic spring plates filled with inert gas.
The two spring plates made of special materials in a glass tube are separated. When there is a magnetic substance near the glass tube, under the action of magnetic field lines, the two spring plates inside the tube are magnetized and attracted to each other, and the spring plates will be attracted to each other, thereby connecting the circuit connected to the node. When the external magnetic force disappears, the two spring leaves separate due to elasticity, and the circuit is disconnected.
As a circuit switching device controlled by magnetic field signals, reed switches can be used as sensors for counting, limiting, etc. (mainly used to make door magnets and window magnets in security systems), and are also widely used in various communication equipment. The principle of reed switch
The working principle of a reed switch is not as complex as imagined. Simply put, it is to seal two overlapping and magnetic spring plates in a glass tube, with the interior of the glass tube in a vacuum state. At this point, the spring acts as a conductor of magnetic flux. When not working, the two spring leaves will not come into contact; When a reed generates a magnetic field through an electromagnetic coil, opposite polarity is produced outside the magnetic field. When the magnetic force is greater than the elastic force of the spring, the two spring plates will work, thereby connecting the circuit; When the external magnetic field weakens or even disappears, the spring will bounce back due to its original elasticity, which means that the contact surfaces of the two springs will separate, thereby disconnecting the circuit.
